Jessica Brooks is a self-taught photographer from Athens, Georgia. Since the age of eight, she remembers traveling along with her father to different towns in Georgia, where he would take photographs of plantation homes. She tells everybody, "I am happiest when I am working with my camera and taking pictures of something meaningful".  She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (2014) and a Photography Certificate from UGA Continuing Education (2017).
